Last May 11, my daughter Yla and my niece Thialyn, joined the karate tournament (Shotokan) at Tagaytay National highs school, and.... surprise... they both won at the kata (exhibition) competition. 

And oh by the way, that day was my daughter's (YLA) 12th b-day , she took home a very nice gift for herself, her trophy.



Yla (the one on the right side with trophy in front) was first runner up and Thialyn her cousin (beside her) was second runner up, they both came home with a trophy...

just at the beginning of the summer, Zdi, Yla and thialyn were enrolled in a karate summer clinic (shotokan), now the two girls will be joining the tournament which will be held in tagaytay on May 11... i hope they wont get hurt... but its part of the sports.
